Folio in 4s gilt ruled calf with fine gilt cartouche on both covers, rebacked in leather on 6 cords (small holes in calf covers, leather worn away at tips) newer laid paper pastedowns and endpapers. Title +[30]pp preface & Index +798pp ending with Series Chartarum and Basileae, per Henrichum Petri, Anno Salutis humanae M.D.XLIX Mense Augusto. Dedication signed & dated by Marcus Hopper of Basel. Missing top corner of titlepage carefully repaired with matching paper & 5 letters inked in, marginal stains to following 3 leaves, light marginal marks of former damp to some later pages, marginal worm holes to last 2 leaves, a few neat early marginal annotations in French, pages otherwise clean and crisp. Text in parallel columns of Greek & Latin (Graesse VI 505).
