The fifth of sixteen crime -thriller novels by one of America's top satirists and humorists, "Strip Tease" features Florida Congressman David Dilbeck, exotic dancer Erin Grant, and assorted blackmailers, and political wheeler-dealers. Dilbeck is trying to avoid an election year scandal brought on by his loss of control around "naked women," while a variety of other characters are trying to profit from his "little problem." Aboupt 6 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches, 353 pages in light green, paper-covered boards with darker green backstrip, gold lettering on spine and small graphic design in center of front cover showing a semi-clad female dancer. The dustjacket's front panel repeats the graphic elements of the cover in blue and light orange. Back panel shows head and shoulders photo of Hiaasen. Boards and text are clean, complete and unmarked, with a slight spine lean. No noticeable or significant flaws or damage except light bumping at lower spine end. Dustjacket shows a single, half-inch tear mid-spine, some light wear at corners and spine ends and minor creasing. Not price-clipped. Hiaasen is an award-winning investigative reporter and columnist at the Miami Herald and is also author of several children's books including a Newbury Honor award for "Hoot." "Strip Tease" was adapted for a film in 1996 starring Burt Reynolds and Demi Moore.
