Publisher's grey cloth with black-on-red spine title and color cover illustration and title. Red card stock endpapers. Title page printed in color. The Twinkle Tales at head of title page in yellow. List of Chapters and copyright notice on title page verso. No dust jacket. Illustrated by Maginel Wright Enright, sister of Frank Lloyd Wright. First edition, first printing. The fifth title in the series The Twinkle Tales; all six volumes are listed on the page facing the title page. Former owner's name on half title: Helene V. MacPhee. Laura Bancroft was one of several pseudonyms used by L. Frank Baum for his non-Oz-related work. The six Twinkle Tales were published together in 1911 as Twinkle and Chubbins. In Good Conditon: cover lightly soiled but bright and solid; stitching is gone from pp. 9-24, which are present and intact with no chipping; p. 27 illustration scraped, with minor loss; 1-cm. tear from lower edge of pp. 29-36, without impact on text or loss; 2-cm. tear from lower edge of pp. 31-32 without impact on text or loss; occasional light soiling in margins; otherwise clean and bright.
