Black cloth boards underneath show only minor spotting. The internal binding is good and text pages are tight. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no remainder marks, no handwriting found. The front pastedown does contain a store price sticker in the upper right corner. Text pages are clean but the end pages and pastedown show foxing and toning caused by reacting with the dust jacket paper. The copyright page states first printing though this is the first US edition as this title was translated from the Greek by Abbott Rick. Preface by Henry Miller.
