  • Used
London: T. Nelson and Sons, 1867. Small quarto. (36)pp. Illustrated with thirty-two vibrant chromolithographs, each with verse or prose captions. The book is divided into four subjects: Sunny Days, Home for the Holidays, Right and Wrong, and Picture Rhymes of Happy Times. Most of the scenes take place on farms and feature children as the main figures, but other settings include schoolrooms, gardens, and parlors with animals and parental adults in the background. The illustrations are prefaced by an introductory poem. Bound in full green cloth with gilt titling to upper cover, and blind stamped border decorations. Light shelfwear, corners a trifle bumped. Overall, a nearly fine copy of a rare edition.
