"Burnt Orange cloth covers with gilt lettering on brown field on spine and author's initials and decoration in gilt on brown field on upper front cover; corners and upper and lower front edges of covers have light rubbing; White Endpapers have some light soiling; fixed front endpaper has a white paper tape strip and some scuffing along dustjacket fold line; upper right corner of free front endpaper has erasure marks; rear free endpaper has a partial white paper tape strip near upper edge and fixed rear endpaper has three similar strips; Black-and-White Frontispiece of Berenson; Book Interior is clean and tight and unmarked except for page 365 which has a soiled spot at lower right corner that penetrates page and lightly affects page following; 8vo; 547 pages; indexed; dustjacket is protected by a mylar wrapper and is generally clean but has heavy rubbing at edges on front dustjacket panel; Upper and lower left spine gutter corners have chips and lower corner has a closed tear; spine panel of dustjacket has a large chip at upper edge and a smaller chip to its right while bottom edge has lighter chipping across width of base; rear dustjacket panel has a chip and creasing at lower left corner, rubbing and light chipping at lower right spine gutter corner, a large chip at upper right spine gutter that is part of the spine chip, and creasing with a closed tear and small chip at upper left corner;inside rear flap has paper tape strips in two locations along left edge and inside front flap has a pencil strike through price and some scuffing at that location"
