Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with light foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Light tanning to spine and edges.

A delightful tale of two women founding, opening, and operating one of the first bookstores in the U.S. owned by women. Golden brown cloth boards with paper title/author label affixed to spine and upper front cover, corners and spine ends are scuffed, a nick to the lower edge of the front cover, rubbed down spine edge. Sewn binding is tight and solid. Fore-edge and lower edge rough cut. Front endpaper has a green squiggle. Pages age toned but not much, very clean, no markings, no creases or tears.
