Brown marbled paper over boards with brown cloth on spine and corner tips and black lettering on front. Light bumping to edges and corners and light nicking and fraying to cloth at corner tips and top and bottom of spine. Light overall rubbing, scuffing and soiling to covers as well, Spine is cracked along front and rear hinges but binding is still intact. Front free end paper has been torn out so first page is title page. About half of the pages have underlining or a light "X" running through the text, all in pencil. A few pages have some light notes, also in pencil. NOT Ex-library. A solid reading copy. Nice detailed b&w illustrations of specimens throughout.
