Leeds: Chorley and Pickersgill, 1902. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 14 x 23cm. A copy with excellent provenance: with the neat signature of C. E. Salmon, Reigate, 1902 to the head of the title page [Salmon was a noted botanist and author of 'Flora of Surrey']. To the reverse of the title page are a couple of biographical notes regarding Painter in the neat hand of C. E. Salmon. "Reprinted from the Naturalist, 1899 and 1902"; pp. [4], 177-272, 5-12, iv. Original green cloth hardback binding, very good with minimal wear . Contents clean and tight, original black end papers. A very good crisp copy..
