This copy is in excellent condition, with numerous plates to the rear of the volume. A scarce work, in the publisher's original cloth binding. Part of the Survey of London series, being Volume XXVIII, Part I. Edited by F. H. W. Sheppard, an authority on history of the city of London. Sheppard was the editor of volumes XXVI to LXI of the Survey of London series. A excellent work of London topography, this volume is concerned solely with the history of a single building, Brooke House in Hackney. Profusely illustrated the work features a series of photographs of the property, as well as architectural drawings and plans. With 41 plates to the rear of the volume, alongside 1 folding plate. Collated complete. Condition: In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally smart, with minor shelfwear to the extremities. Rubbing to the extremities of the front board. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. The overall condition of the work is impacted by the condition of the front board, internally the work is excellent. Overall Condition: Very Good Indeed.
