VG (all plates are present, crisp and clean, light scuffing to boards mainly along the edges). 3/4 black leather and tan cloth portfolio boxes; 5 raised bands on spine with gilt lettering, color marble illustrated box ends, two silver hook closures; Pages are inside marble illustrated stiff wraps with brown silk ribbon tie closure; IX pages followed by bw and color plates numbered 981-1275. This is volume 8 (featuring textiles and carpets) of a 9 volume set, one of the plate volumes. "Published under the auspices of the American Institute for Iranian Art and Archeology." This is the Edition de Luxe edition. Includes a list of the plates.
