The Survivors

by Sibson, Francis

Condition: Near Fine in Near Fine dust jacket

London: Heinemann. Near Fine in Near Fine dust jacket. 1932. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. True first edition of the author's first novel. When an entirely new continent is thrown up from the ocean floor H.M. cruiser Maple Leaf is sent to investigate and take new soundings. But she runs aground and the survivors fight for their lives. Scarce in collectible condition and nearly impossible to find in dust jacket, this copy is flawed only by minor foxing and a previous owner's bookplate opposite the title page. The rare dust jacket is bright and unfaded with a bit of chipping at the extremities. A handsome copy! .
