8vo, cloth with partial dust jacket, title on spine, 256 pp. Only top cover portion and inside flap of the dust jacket remain, edge tears and chips on this remaining portion, slight crick at the upper joint of top cover, title on spine faded, normal aging, otherwise very good. A.J. Liebling (1904-1963) a prominent journalist with The New Yorker published this boxing classic in 1956. He covers fighters like Jack Johnson, Rocky Marciano and Sandy Saddler. A good portion of the book is about heavyweights. Hartley 1229.
