Full tan cloth covered boards. Signed by author "Best Wishes!" Good in good dust jacket. Small bookplate of Jeffrey Norton, noted bookseller and collector on front pastedown. Damp stain to lower front board near spine and extending to lower third of rear board, heel of spine no longer crisp. Dust jacket is price clipped and has light chipping to head and heel of spine panel and wear to flap folds.

According to the author, the stories collected in Tales of Quails 'n Such are lazy, loose-fingered and rambling accounts of my jaunts afoot. There is not one well organized and plotted tale among them. I suppose I ought to apologize for their formlessness, but that would be apologizing for deficiencies in my own character.
