Red cloth covered boards with black titles surrounded by a wreath shaped design and black titles to the spine, no dust jacket. Condition fair, corners and spine ends rubbed, hinges cracked, previous owners' details to front paste-down, spots to first and last few pages and to page edges occasionally creeping in, cut out picture of a boy playing cricket glued to rear paste-down, frontispiece is missing. With the bookplate of George MacDonald Fraser to the front paste-down. Ex-libris George Macdonald Fraser, author and creator of the Flashman series.
