She is hopeful in her view of the prisoner as 'primarily an adult in need of education and only secondarily a criminal in need of reform.' Black textured paper over boards with gilt stamped spine lettering. Small bumps at top and bottom fore corners of upper board, slight dustiness to top edge of text block, otherwise crisp and free of wear. Jacket has a few ink notations at lower corner of front flap and some faint surface soil. Contains a good bibliography. Fully indexed.
