Dark brown rib-Morocco-grain cloth over boards, gilt stamped spine lettering; covers blind stamped with central stylized floral cartouche, floral garlands above and below, enclosed in double ruled frame; spine with blind stamped floral designs in panels. Bright, clean coves and spine; slightly rubbed at lower fore corners - boards just exposed; few samll chips in cloth on rear cover; rubbed with small splits at spine ends; tightly bound; several dark stains on pp 19 - 23, otherwise bright and clean interior; leaves supple. Wood engravings are by H.W. Herrick, most signed by W. Groome (or Greene).
