Rhodes & McClure, 1908. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1908. 471 pages. Well-worn copy. Navy boards with silver gilt lettering and decoration. Boards are heavily rubbed and bumped to the edges, and moderate scuffed throughout. Spine is moderately shaken with a backwards tilt. Free end papers have come free from the binding where the gutter is exposed at the front of the book, and are laid in. All other pages are still intact, though loose to binding in places. Pages are heavily age toned and show some light scuffing, but are otherwise free of marks. Text plates were over-inked in places during printing, causing some letters to bleed together (especially towards the back of the book).

Green colored cloth over boards with decorative silver border and silver cowboy beside his horse on upper and decorative border and text on spine in silver' fraying edge wear, bumped and frayed corners; spine joint on lower is partially separated. Interior pages are printed on cheap paper that has browned; some pages have color illustrations under the text. The ffep has a pencil illustration and text for Buffalo Bill and is separated from the front paste down; the first few pages are chipped on corners and edges. Title page states "Addenda by Tex Bender, The Cowboy Fiddler". Binding shaken..

"A cowboy autobiography, preceded only by that of Siringo." Nice copy, bound in reddish-brown cloth with black stamping. Printed on fairly poor-quality paper, but in very good condition.
