About This Item

New York: Artisan, 1998. This Stated First Printing (and unless it's states, it's not) also includes a complete "number line" ending with a "1". American journalist and photographer, Aaron Levin, has taken on the monumental task of recording here many individual testaments of those heros and heroines who took part in the formation of the State of Israel and who are still alive to tell their stories. Each story is complimented by a photographic portrait by Levin. Older photos of the same people are also used to show them in their youth, whenever possible. The book is in Fine condition with a close to Fine, unclipped dust jacket. The book is bound in black cloth with die-stamped gilt spine titles. The dust jacket has two small tears, repaired on the reverse with non-acidic tape. I've placed the dust jacket into a Brodart protective sleeve. The book measures 10 1/4 by 10 1/4 inches and includes 192 pages. The book is in the four-pound shipping weight and will require additional shipping costs if the domestic buyer prefers Priority shipping. There will be no additional shipping cost for Media Mail shipping. This book is for DOMESTIC PURCHASE ONLY due to prohibitive shipping costs internationally. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Fine/Near Fine. Illus. by Aaron Levin, Photographer. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
