London: Victor Gollancz Ltd, 1939. Hardcover. pp. 661. 8vo. Original blue cloth binding with black lettering to spine. Front hinge is cracked, rear joint has received a recent application of clear tape, edgewear, previous owner's name (Dorothy S. Perkin - who was a sometime correspondent of the author) on the front free endpaper. The contents are unmarked. A fair copy of the author's most famous work. First published in August, 1935, in red cloth, this is a later printing, bound in blue cloth and published in October, 1939.
