Nicholas Roosevelt was a member of the Roosevelt family circle, but as a journalist was able to view Theodore Roosevelt with critical objectivity.

First edition, near fine cloth hardcover shows tiny bit of open chipping at bottom corner of last page of forward and some other very light trace wear, else tight and clean, in good + dust jacket (price at flap) that shows light rubbing and soil, couple of light stains at fore edge of rear panel and edgewear that includes closed tears, wrinkles, tiny open chips and larger open chip (inch by inch) at top edge of rear panel next to spine head. 205 pages with a set of black & whites. Solid copy in jacket of this look at the legendary president through the eyes of a relation drawing on "..diaries, letters, and memory, as well as much reading about the man and his times.
