Very Good+ with a few tiny spots of gnawing along edges of cloth, a few small stains to top edge, but internally clean and bright. In Very Good unclipped ($15.00) dust jacket-- rare thus-- with noticeable rubbing (jacket is prone to it), three tiny holes along fore edge, front flap creased. The rare first printing of Rawls' magnum opus, widely regarded as one of the greatest works of 20th century political philosophy.
Synopsis
A Theory of Justice is a widely-read book of political philosophy and ethics by John Rawls. It was originally published in 1971 and revised in both 1975 (for the translated editions) and 1999. In A Theory of Justice, Rawls attempts to solve the problem of distributive justice by utilising a variant of the familiar device of the social contract.
