Hardcover, brown cloth boards show some scuffing and spotting, corners mildly bumped/worn. The reason for the low condition grade is because the rear hinge is cracked and the front hinge is starting to crack spots. If the hinge cracks were not present the book would grade as VG to VG+. The interior pages are toned due to age with the end pages and pastedowns being quite darkened and a bit brittle. The title page is also quite dark due to reacting with the end pages. There are no signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no handwriting found. The large foldout map in the back of the book is present and attached and appears to be in very good condition with no tears or anything like that. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Noticeable crushing to spine ends. Visible tanning to spine and edges. Some splits to spine ends. Marks overall. Gilt lettering is bright and clear.

In quite good black cloth boards with blind stamped leaf and gilt titles. The boards are loose from page block and with collapsed hollow, fairly clean; spine ends and corners worn. Very tanned end papers, name and date on front free end paper; the centre of front end papers torn with exposed webbing. Dark tinted top cut edge; the top and fore edges are tanned, The text block is firm and intact, slightly tanned, mostly around the edges and with large coloured fold-out map to rear; foxed on reverse side. Good condition; overall condition fair due to boards.Without jacket.
