Elegantly INSCRIBED by author on the title page, likely to a friend or early reader of the novel: "My dear Steve / This book has many faults, but thanks to you I feel that at least the medical & chemical details are correct. / Nick."

Basis for the 1954 British film noir (re-titled "The Big Deadly Game" for its US release), directed by Daniel Birt and starring Lloyd Bridges.

Near Fine with a slight lean in a Very Good dust jacket. Spine and flaps lightly toned, with light edgewear and a shallow diagonal crease to the rear flap.
