Size octavo, 291 pages including index. Brown cloth covered boards with gilt titles to the spine, with dust jacket. Book condition very good, corners and spine ends slightly rubbed, a few faint spots to first and last few pages, remaining pages are slightly toned otherwise clean throughout. This was the Review Copy belonging to Biographer and Critic Malcolm Elwin (1903-1973) loosely inserted are the original review compliments slip from the publisher to the Sunday Times, plus a 3 sheet handwritten and signed letter from the author to Malcolm Elwin from 1955, discussing this book and other books and literary types, plus a carbon copy of the reply letter that Malcolm Elwin sent to Gamaliel Milner in response.
