A gorgeous print highlighting the artistry of Pierre Joseph Redoute in combination with the subtle technique of stipple engraving. This fine example of botanical art was published in "Traite des Arbres et Arbustes que l'on cultive en france en pleine terre. Seconde edition 'nouveau Duhamel' considerablement augmentee" (Dunthorne 243) which documented trees and shrubs cultivated in France. This is plate 51. .
