Boston: Lee and Shepard, 1884. Later printing. Hardcover. Poor/No jacket. 326 pages, illustrated with black and white plates. Two young men buy a mill on the Tammoset River and all sorts of adventures result. Brown cloth binding with black stamped decorations on front cover and gilt title blocks on front cover and spine. Some wear and spotting of cover, corners bumped and frayed, some chips in spine ends with short tears, wrinkles on back cover with stains, hinges weak with some splitting, pencil notation on front fixed end paper, gift inscription on inner front free end paper, a little spotting of interior pages with tanning, binding badly shaken but all pages attached.
