About This Item
Hardcover with dust jacket, published by Grosset & Dunlap. Fourth in the series 'Letitia Carberry', this is a collection of five stories of the adventures of Tish and her friends Aggie and Lizzie. This title was first published by Doran in 1926, so this being a Grosset & Dunlap edition, it is a reprint edition. Blue cloth covered boards, with the author name and title imprinted on the front board and spine in black, with a nice Art Deco style design in red on the front board as well. Boards are flat, the corners are not bumped or worn. All lettering on the boards is crisp and legible. Former owner's name and a gift note on the first flyleaf in fountain pen ink. No further writing on the text pages besides that though. Edges of the text block are relatively clean, with a few dots of age tanning on the fore edge. Not a library discard, not a remainder copy. Binding is tight and square. Dust jacket is intact, though it does have a 3" tear on the fore edge of the front flap, age tanning to the spine and back panel, some edge wear to the top. Obverse of the jacket includes a list of other titles available of the time. Jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. The attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory.
