Baileae: Apud E. & J.R. Thurnisios, 1740. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo. Brown calf binding. Raised bands. Title in gilt on spine. [44] 922 p.p., 70 p.p. index, 62 p.p. [chronologia, aliquot desensiones]. This is Volume 1 of 3 volumes of Livy's History of Rome. Small hole to rear pastedown endpaper and tail of spine. Writing in blue pen on rear pastedown with faded stamps. Early notations on title page, with two ink smudges not affecting text. Foot of front inner hinge starting. Some trimming to pages. Rubbing along spine and slightly bumped edges; Small tear to p.p. 1, but text unaffected. Some damp staining and light foxing throughout text. Otherwise in very good condition.
