About This Item
New York: Max Maisel, 1921. First Yiddish-language edition, translated by A. Frumkin. Octavo; red pebbled cloth over boards, lettered in black on spine and front cover; dustjacket; 253pp. A tight, Near Fine copy in scarce dustwrapper, lightly rubbed and edgeworn with small chip at base of spine (not affecting printed area); still Very Good or better. Uncommon Yiddish edition of Stepniak's popular survey of radicalism in Imperial Russia, first published in London in 1882. The jacket on this copy is dated 1929, presumably a later issue (though we have been unable to locate any other copy in dustwrapper for comparison). Two only in OCLC, one in North America (Penn).
