Complete in 8-volumes. Printed in 1797. Bound in calf leather, gilded spines with raised hubs. Leather label, marbled end papers, rag paper, engraved frontisplate. 8.5 inches tall. In VERY GOOD condition, the leather is supple and fresh. The hinges are all attached, some light general rubs/wear, one of the leather labels is lacking. Printed on high quality rag paper that is very fresh bright and clean, appaears free of foxing, no writing. This is an exceptionally early set of Smollett's Works from the 18th century, in beautiful leather bindings.
