(Cape Town: Nasionale Pers, 1925). Squarish 8vo; original oatmeal cloth, lettered in green on upper cover and in brown on spine; pp. 178; plates. Earlier owner's name signed on front free endpaper; light foxing. Very good condition. Afrikaans text. (Nienaber I, p. 179) Tobie Muller (1884-1918) was a "minister of the N.G. Kerk and campaigner for Afrikaans ... Although he died at the age of only thirty-four, he was during his short life, a talented and patriotic Christian with a humility which won him a place in the hearts of his young compatriots. Where he led they followed eagerly. He was, in fact, an inspiration to the youth of his nation at a time when they were searching for it." - DSAB I, pp. 571-2 .
