NY: Grosset & Dunlap. Kind of a dark tan with red decorative drawings in boxes of planes, cars, bicycle, boat and Tom Swift in oval on spine and also smaller on front cover. General wear - but still antique rather than just used looking. No markings. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 10" Tall . Good Used. Decorated Cloth Hardcover. 1911.

New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1911. This ninth book in the Tom Swift series is a later printing in Good- condition. There is an inscription to the original owner on the front endpaper. The book is bound in a beige illustrated cloth with borders in black as well as vignette illustrations in black and red on the front panel and spine. The covers show soiling, fraying at the edges and corners, bumped corners, and tears at the seams of the spine. The rear spine seam and bottom of spine have been repaired with a burgundy tape. (Click on photo.) This is not a collectible but would make a good vintage reading copy. The binding is secure and the text pages, all present, are mainly clean but have occasional smudges, fingerprints, or small margin stains. The book measures 5 1/4 by 7 5/8 inches and includes 207 pages, with a frontis illustration, and ads in the rear. . Hard Cover. Good-/No Dust Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
