N.Y., Toronto, London: McGraw - Hill Book Company, 1964 Hard Cover. Presumed First. 7 3/8 x 10. 32 pp. A delightfully illustrated version of the classic poem. The version used in this book was published in London in 1850 and is from "A Treasury of Pleasure Books for Young Children". Orange cloth on boards binding with illustration of Tom sitting on rock piping. Cover has bump to bottom corner front and back and a bit of wear to top corners. There is al so a little wear to the top and bottom of spine. One or two dots of stain on cover. No former owner's name on endpapers. There is a bit of a smudge (not that noticeable) on half title page and rest of text seems very clean. Evidence of hinging at front inside cover but text is very secure. Overall cond: good..
