by F. O. Repplier

Condition: See description

Boulder, CO School District No. 3, Boulder County, 1959. Hardcover First Edition (1959), unstated. First Edition (1959), unstated. Near Fine in Very Good+ DJ: Book shows only minute indications of use; shows a rubber-stamped former owner's name [hidden by the DJ's flap] at the front paste-down end-paper; but the overall condition of the book is excellent; the binding is square and secure; the text is clean. A handsome, nearly-new copy, structurally sound and tighly bound, showing only a single minor flaw. Virtually 'As New'. The DJ shows light wear to extremities; a tiny tear at the top edge rear panel and another at the top of the front panel; very faint soiling and smudging to the front panel; the price ($3.50) is unclipped; mylar-protected. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. xii, 236 pp. b&w photographs, illus. Hardback with DJ. . A narrative history of the Boulder school system nicely integrated with historical events: the birth of the town, the founding of its schools, and their development over the years. The book abounds in interesting detail -- the early gold strikes in the days of the "Rush To The Rockies," the building of mountain roads to the gold camps, Indian troubles, the coming of the railroads, etc.
