Interior in very good condition. Inscribed by the editor Edward E. Hale (Author of story A Man Without A Country) to William H. Bogart Oct. 19, 1860.

Printed paper title label on the spine is chipped and stained. Damp stains to the cloth on the spine and front cover. Some scuff marks to the back cover. Cloth chipped head and base of the spine. Corners bumped. Light foxing to the end sheets. Interior text and illustrations in very good condition. Inscribed by the editor Edward E. Hale - "William H. Bryant Esq - With the regards of E. E. Hale Boston Oct. 19. 1860."
