Wear to corners. Residue of bookplate to front and rear endpapers in Vol. I. Library card pocket and check-out sheet to rear endpaper in Vol. II. Hinges on Vol. I starting. Illustrated with reproductions of sepia-toned and b/w photographs, drawings by Hedin, as well as three color fold-out maps of which two are laid-in. Some tearing and chipping to outer edges of maps. A fascinating account of this Swedish explorer's adventures in Tibet. Text in German, gothic script. Overall good condition.
