Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 322, 339pp. Later binding blue paper over boards, tan buckram backing, paper spine labels, uncut edges, armorial bookplate on pastedowns of both volumes, Slight mottling to spine of volume II, contents foxed, some cracking to front gutter volume II, bindowner's name on front free endpaper, bindings of both volumes are tight, corner tear to contents page (end of Vol.I) with slight loss of text, tiny hole in front endpaper of Vol.II. A critical account of 19th century American society.
