Pisa: Rossi, 1838-01-01. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. 50 cm, folio. In custom made archival gray cloth portfolio, with green silk ties. 2 preliminary leaves, 3 plates. Folio, orig wrappers; minor edge wear. Holding 1 leaf of letterpress text, 3 plates, loose as issued. Untrimmed. Plate sheet size 19 5/8 x 13 3/8 in; 489 340 mm. Relating to the bronze doors of the Pisan basilica of 1602. "Exquisite presentation explaining the symbols on three bronze doors which were made for the Pisan basilica in 1602. Rossi drew the sketches and engraved the plates as well as published this now folio volume.
