Full title: A Treatise on Agriculture, intitled the Yorkshire Farmer. In Two Volumes. This treatise explains and exemplifies in a simple demonstrative Manner, the several useful Methods of Husbandry, and of reclaiming Bog and Mountain, with tables of Lots and Grains annexed to each Crop. Also A Monthly Kalendar of Works to be Done, as they come iin Season throughout the Year. To which is added, The different State of the English and Irish Farmer, with Tables annexed,shewing the Advantages of Tillage, and how destructive Grazing is to the Poor, and to the Improvement and Trade of Irel;and, etc. etc. never before made public. With several Cuts of Machines, Tool, etc. Likewise Here is humbly offered to the Legislature, and Friends of Ireland, a scheme for maintaining the Poor Thereof. Vol. II Plain full-leather binding with banded spine, black spine-label with gilt lettering, frontis plate showing and describing A Levelling Knife. Decorated footers at chapter ends, fold-out tables. Subjects covered are Potatoes, Fitches Tare, Lentils, Clover, Lalucerne, Saintfoin, Ray-grass, Bog - cause and reclamation, Rape, Reclaiming Mountains, Wet and Cold Land, Burn-beating, Burnet, Pickles for Wheat, Manures, Explanation of Names, Ploughing with One Man and Two Horses, Calendar for each month, Remarks on Stock Farms, English and Irish farmers, the Poor, a 35 acres farm, Scheme for Maintaining the Poor, and Index at rear. There seems to be no specific mention of Yorkshire farming in this volume which seems predominantly to be aimed at those wishing to improve farming in Ireland, perhaps the author was a Yorkshire farmer.
