Finely bound in late 19th/early 20th century arts and crafts style leather binding of full dark green Morocco. Spine with raised bands, each with three gilt dots. The compartments rule, lettered, and fully decorated with floral devices, all in gilt. Both boards with matching triple ruled borders and decorative floral, dot and ruled line design. Board edges with single gilt ruled lines. Turn-ins decorated with triple ruled lines, dots and floral devices, all in gilt. Plain green endpapers. All edges gilt. A lovely copy of this 19th century poem in a fine, highly attractive, but sadly unsigned by the binder, leather binding. The third volume, edited by Clyde Tuck consists of biographical sketches of representative citizens and genealogical records of the old families, including a biographical index, photographs, and portraits. The hinges are cracked with some minor attendant chipping, there is a small previous owner's stamp on the front endpapers of the first 2 volumes. Internally the set is in fine condition. The covers are lightly worn, the spine is cocked and has a small stain, the back inner hinge is cracked, there is a previous owner's inscription in pencil inside, and the endpapers are tanned along the edges, otherwise the covers are bright.
