Good- HC. Contemporary full sheep leather over boards with leather spine label, gilt letters. Clean, scuffed covers and spine; some rubbing wear at edges, boards exposed at lower fore corners; 3/4 inch split at spine head; 1 inch square missing at spine tail; spine label gilt mostly effaced; partial split at rear cover/spine joint; tightly bound; owner name and date (1836?) in contemporary ink on front free end paper; approximately 1/3 of fold-out frontispiece engraving is present; 4 other engravings present: 2 are torn but complete, 1 is torn and missing lower fore corner, 1 is complete; 1 interior leaf is torn horizontally across middle; all sections present and bound in.
