New York: The Macaulay Company, 1924. 1924 Macaulay edition (from the 1905 Dodd, Mead edition). VERY GOOD+. An exceptionally well-preserved copy, complete with 6 beautiful color plates. A clean, totally unmarked copy bound in green cloth cover with color pictorial pastedown on front cover (the art is not a duplicate of the color plates). Cover is titled in dark blue on front and spine. Pages and plates crisp and fine. Cover clean, lightly rubbed along edges. The pastedown slighlty rubbed but clean and colorful - no chips pr scuffs. Binding and hinges tender but intact; no tears or splits to endpapers or book block. Black and white illustrations throughout, artwork by Ethel Franklin Betts. 7 x 9-1/4"; 206 pages. Hardcover. Very Good+/No Jacket. Illus. by Betts, Ethel Franklin.
