London: Jacob Tonson, 1702. 1st Edition . Good Plus. 5 x 7.75 inches (12 x 19.5 cm). Full panelled calf leather binding, spine worn to edges, joints cracked and chipped. Front board a little loose but securely held by cords. Mark to lower margin of final page, some light foxing, text is otherwise very clean throughout. Engraved frontis by M.V. Gucht. Dodwell's apology has been numbered to the upper page corners in old ink. Four leaves at the end of the apology are bound in the wrong sequence but all are present. One leaf of advertisement has also been bound into the apology. A nice solid example of Cicero's De Finibus Bonorum et Malorum. ESTC: T138130. Overall condition is Good Plus.
