About This Item
Fort Bragg, CA, U.S.A.: Ten Mile River Press, 1983. Paper Covers. Very Good. Originally published in slightly different form in The Berkeley Monthly, this is a pamphlet of Gifford's fictional treatment of an imaginary notebook kept by the Swiss painter August Macke during a two week journey through North Africa in 1914 with Paul Klee (who kept an actual diary) and Louis Rene Molliet (white covers with painting by Macke on the front, photo of Macke and Klee in Tunis on the back, red endpapers, Gifford's drawing of Macke on the back of the half-title page, text includes two erratum slips; a bright, clean, tight copy with very small scrape on lower right front cover)
