New York: Tibor De Nagy Gallery, 1953. First edition. Paperback. Fair. First edition of the poet's first book of poems. #13 of 300 copies printed in delicate paper wrappers. A notoriously fragile production, this copy is only in fair condition. Interior pages are loose from the decorated covers which show much chipping and wear with large paper loss to the back panel. The interior paper is fragile, but in unmarked condition. This copy has been briefly INSCRIBED by Ashbery on the title page. Illustrated by Jane Freilicher. Sold in as-is condition.
