Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1988. First edition. Hardcover. Near fine/very good. SIGNED. 31pp. Tall slim quarto [30.5 cm] Red cloth over boards with a black ink stamped title on the spine and two small black ants on the front board. In the pictorial dust jacket, with a 1/2" closed tear in the top edge of the front panel. Signed by Chris Van Allsburg, with the date, "2001," on the title page. Van Allsburg has been the recipient of numerous awards, including two Caldecott Medals for The Polar Express and Jumanji.
Synopsis
The three-time Caldecott medalist tells the tale of two ants who decide to leave the safety of the others to venture into a danger-laden kitchen.
