About This Item

Los Angeles; South Gate, CA, 1964. Two mimeographed brochures, each folded from an 8.5x11 inch sheet of paper, from events celebrating the life of the recently deceased unionist and socialist. One of the memorial meetings appears to have been organized by the SWP, and includes Tom Kerry among the speakers. The other program, with some stains to the edge, is for a memorial held at the UAW Local 216 hall in South Gate. Gurske had been a charter member of Local 216.
