The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien - 1960

First Edition/Seventh Impression stated in a later state dust jacket with a price of $5.95 on the front flap. A Near Fine book in a Very Good or better dust jacket. An excellent copy of this 2nd book in the Lord of the Rings series, difficult to find in the first edition and in collectible condition. This copy is in near fine condition with a square tight binding, bright lettering over blue boards, and clean white pages throughout; the book does show some light shelf wear to the spine ends and board edges, minor bumping and wrinkling to the last 20-25 page edges, and has a previous owner's markings to the front free paper (the book was evidently a gift from a class to their teacher and was signed by 11 students). Housed in a very good or better dust jacket that is crisp, clean, and bright but does show some minor rubbing and chipping to the spine ends, edges, and corners, some very light age-toning to the back panel and flaps, and a couple of short closed tears to the panel edges, else near fine or better. Fold out map present affixed to the rear pastedown. Not remaindered, not price clipped ($5.95 intact), and not ex-library; in archival protection and will ship in a sturdy box.
