London : John Lane The Bodley Head , 1927. First edition. Cloth. Very Good. 9.5" by 6.5". Jan Gordon and Cora J. Gordon. A lighthearted and thoroughly illustrated account of the Two Vagabonds in Albania. The observations and illustrations within this copy of Two Vagabonds in Albania were based on the pairs travels in 1925 and takes a comedic and lighthearted approach. Jan Gordon was an English printmaker and journalist and Cora Gordon was an English artist, writer and musician. They started the series of Two Vagabonds travel books that were very popular. Including two colour plates and a colour frontispiece, and nine plates in half-tone and a further thirty in text drawings. Collated, complete. In the publisher's original blue decorative cloth binding. The spine is faded and there is some rubbing to the joints and extremities. A Library sticker is on the front board and to the front pastedown and a library stamp is to the reverse of the title page. Internally, firmly bound. With bright, clean pages with scattered spots mainly to the front few pages. Very Good
